Global Consultation: health course for refugees

InZone, in collaboration with the Geneva Centre for Humanitarian Studies and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Geneva, are aiming to revise their health course that has been offered to refugee populations.

This new health course coordinated by Professor Karl Blanchet will be a Certificate of Open Studies. It will use blended learning, whereby part of the instruction takes place in a face-to-face environment and part of it takes place online. We anticipate the target population for this course to be those with little or no prior knowledge of health service delivery. The aim of this course is to equip refugees with knowledge and skills through the internationally recognised Certificate of Open Studies, in order to enable them to work in disease prevention, health education and primary healthcare within the refugee camp they are currently residing in, and in any future destination.

We are very keen to gain input from refugees themselves and those who have worked in refugee camp settings regarding the key competencies to include in the course, how the course should be delivered and how the competencies could be used.

We would appreciate if you could complete this short survey: https://forms.gle/91jajkNbYUEek4Qx6

We anticipate the survey to take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. Please complete this survey by 14/05/2021.
