EEBO & LION Training Session - 28 May 2008

Training session on the digital databases EEBO (Early English Books Online) and LION (Literature Online) by Claus G. Wolf, Trainer, Austria, Germany & Switzerland, ProQuest, on Wednesday 28 May 2008 from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm in room B 105 (Uni Bastions).

For a few months now, the electronic network of the University of Geneva and the Bibliothèque de Genève has been giving access to two new important digital databases: Early English Books Online (EEBO) provides access to digital images of almost all books printed in Great Britain and Ireland from 1475 to 1700 (see http://eebo.chadwyck.com); Literature Online (LION), with more than 350,000 texts of English literature (from Anglo-Saxon bards to hip-hop poets) and over 200 full-text periodicals, is the world's largest cross-searchable database of literature and criticism (see http://lion.chadwyck.co.uk ).
