Yarab Singye obtained a master’s degree in English linguistics and literature from the University of Geneva.
His research interests lie in Film Studies, particularly Asian Film Studies, with a focus on Korean, Japanese, and lesser-known film industries such as Bhutanese films. He is passionate about exploring these cultural artifacts, shaped by diverse cinematic traditions, to gain insights into their unique narrative structures, aesthetic principles, and thematic concerns that characterise films from these particular regions. He aims to bring greater recognition to these films' artistic contributions as well as their potential to spark academic discourse.
