Née le 20 avril 1975 à Lausanne. Licenciée ès-lettres de l’Université de Genève en égyptologie, copte et épistémologie en 2000. Diplôme d’études approfondies en égyptologie en 2001 à l'École pratique des Hautes Études, IVème section, direction Pr. Pascal Vernus. Docteure en Philosophie de l’Université de Bâle, mention égyptologie, direction Pr. Antonio Loprieno et Pr. Pascal Vernus, en 2006.

Postdoctoral fellow à l’Université de Chicago  (2008 - 2012).

Direction projet FNS - Ambizione à l’Université de Bâle  (2012 - 2016).

Depuis 2011, co-éditrice de la section ‘language’ de la UCLA Encyclopedia of Egyptology.

Professeure FNS à l’Université de Genève (2016-2020).

Texte et iconographie de l’Ancien Empire, genres textuels égyptiens, autobiographies égyptiennes, langue et linguistique égyptiennes.
