Giorgio MAGRI
I studied philosophy and then mathematics at the University of Milano. I got my PhD in Linguistics at MIT in 2009. Since 2012, I have been a permanent researcher at the French CNRS, affiliated with the lab SFL in Paris. So far, my research has focused on three topics. During graduate school, I have worked on scalar implicatures and lexical semantics. Shortly after, my research interests have shifted to phonology, with a focus on the learnability implications of various frameworks for constraint-based phonology. Nowadays, I am working on variation and probabilistic phonology.
