Marta Abrusan is a semanticist. Her current research interests include the study of presuppositions, varieties of perspective shift in natural languages, discourse structure, as well as combining methods of formal semantics with computational semantics. 

She is research director at the CNRS (Institut Jean Nicod, ENS, Paris) and holds a PhD from MIT (2007). She published a monograph on Weak Island Semantics (OUP, 2014).
