Romain started a PhD in Geneva under the supervision of Hugo Duminil-Copin. His main research interest focused on the study of the crititcal behaviour of models of statistical mechanics and more specifically of spin systems like the Ising model or the discrete Phi^4 model.

Starting September 2024, he became a Postdoctoral researcher at the Institut Camille Jordan (Université Lyon 1, France), working in the group of Christophe Garban, and funded by the SNSF through a Postdoc.Mobility grant.
