After studying law in France and obtaining a degree in administration and finance, Isabelle worked as a lawyer and as the manager of an insurance agency specialising in legal defence. She joined the University of Geneva in 2001 as administrator of the NCCR MaNEP and then of the NCCR SwissMAP  2014.

Her role is currently split as administrator of SwissMAP and of the Section of Mathematics.
