Class II Biosafety cabinets

Two class II biosafety cabinets for working with non-airborne viruses (PSM II) are available in the zone A of the BSL3 laboratory. These hoods are equipped with a HEPA H 14 filter for effective protection of people.

Isolators

Depression isolators are airtight containment cabinets with turbulent air flow and are associated with a bio-decontamination airlock; this equipment is specifically designed for the handling of airbone pathogens. The waste is evacuated via an autoclavable aluminium container.

ImageXpress® Pico Automated Cell Imaging System

The ImageXpress® Pico Automated Cell Imaging System is a digital microscope, combining high-resolution imaging with image analysis software. It allows to perform life imaging experiments.  The microscope being located inside the isolator allows the safe acquisition of images of infected cells
