Cancer Pharmacology

Cancer Pharmacology is the study of the effects and mechanisms of drugs used in the treatment of cancer. This research aims to improve the safety and efficacy of cancer treatments by developing new and innovative drugs, as well as optimizing existing ones. Cancer pharmacologists work to understand the molecular and cellular targets of cancer drugs, how drugs interact with these targets, and how these interactions impact the efficacy and toxicity of treatments. This research also involves studying how drugs are metabolized in the body, and how individual patient factors, such as genetics and underlying medical conditions, can affect drug response. At CRTOH, Cancer Pharmacology research is focused on developing personalized and effective treatments, improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of cancer research.
