At the heart of international Geneva and Lake Geneva's 'Health Valley', the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Geneva has a threefold mission: teaching, research and community service. The State provides the core funding for the Faculty, allocating it a substantial budget for staff, operations and investment. Nevertheless, every donation counts in pushing back the frontiers of knowledge and finding new weapons against disease. Every donation is essential and we can all contribute to the development of innovative therapies. The Faculty and its scientists are committed to the principles of excellence, transparency and responsiveness to donors. The Faculty and its privileged partner, the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), have defined strategic axes and large-scale projects or Centres that respond to the major issues in healthcare today. The HUG Private Foundation and the Louis-Jeantet Foundation for Medicine work in concert with the Faculty of Medicine.
