Blood tests

The levels of six hormones acting, among other things, on sperm production are measured in the blood. About 10 ml of blood is collected. From the serum obtained, six hormones are measured:

• follicle stimulating hormone (FSH)
• luteinizing hormone (LH)
• testosterone (T)
• estradiol (E2)
• sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG)
• inhibin-B
