I am a neuroengineer by training at the University of Genoa and obtained a PhD in Robotics and Intelligent Systems at EPFL in the laboratory of Prof. Olaf Blanke, focusing on the cognitive mechanisms involved in operating a brain-computer interface. Prior to joining Prof. Guggisberg's team, I worket as a Research Engineer at the Institute of Vision in Paris from 2016 to 2017. Subsequently, I joined Prof. Anne-Lise Giraud's team, first as a postdoctoral researcher and then as a Maître Assistante. There, I worket on using transcranial alternating current stimulation to treat dyslexia and led several projects aimed at developing a Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) for decoding imagined speech using both non-invasive and intracranial brain recordings.

My research interests focus on using experimental approaches to modulate brain activity (BCI and transcranial electrical stimulation) to better understand language and speech disorders and propose experimental interventions to alleviate these conditions.
