A review of the journey of an old drug

Among different strategies to develop novel therapies, identifying new uses of an already approved or investigational drug is an effective and cost effective strategy. Clofazimine, a drug initially developed as an anti-tuberculosis treatment was repurposed many times since its first discovery in the 1950s.
