Our lab investigates the interactions between phagocytic cells and bacteria to provide new strategies for the treatment of infectious and immune-mediated diseases.
Our current research can be divided into 3 variations on the theme phagocytosis:
- How cells phagocytose bacteria
- How cells kill ingested bacteria
- How pathogenic bacteria escape phagocytic cells and mount infections
