I am a PhD student in the Department F.-A. Forel for environmental and aquatic sciences and a member of environmental physico-chemistry group. My research project focuses on studying behavior of engineered nanoparticles (ENPs) in the natural environment by means of laboratory experiments and computer simulations. I am particularly interested in evaluation the physico-chemical interactions between ENPs and natural granular media. A thorough understanding of these processes is of a great importance because it can help not only to improve filtration technologies used in drinking water treatment plants but also to protect groundwater resources and soil biota.
Before starting my PhD, I did my Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering at AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow (Poland) and my Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences at University of Geneva.
