Federico Petrolo obtained a bachelor degree in Political Science and a master degree in International Relations – Policies and Institutions of the European Union at the University of Roma Tre (IT). He completed his studies with an MSc in European Studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science – LSE (UK) and a MAS in Public Administration (MPA), at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Public Administration - IDHEAP of the University of Lausanne.

After several years at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Zurich – ETHZ as administrative manager of two European FP7 projects coordinated by the Institute of Particle Physics, he joined in 2015 the Research and Grants Office of the University of Geneva.

He is currently in charge of monitoring programs related to the third pillar (Societal challenge) of the H2020 Framework Program and Clusters 1,5 and 6 of the 2nd pillar of the Horizon Europe Framework Program, as well as monitoring programs funded by the US National Institute of Health (NIH).

Federico is also involved in administrative streamlining activities as well as in the development and implementation of institutional and inter-institutional administrative procedures related to collaborative European programs and American NIH programs.
