Vladan Janjusevic obtained a law degree from the University of Montenegro in 2005 alongside a professional sports career. He also holds a Master's degree in Law in Legal Issues, Crime and Security of Information Technologies from the University of Lausanne in 2009. He has completed his studies with two further continuing education courses: a Certificate of the Data Protection Officer (DPO) at UNIGE in 2019 as well as a CAS in sports management and policy  at IDHEAP-UNIIL in 2011.

After having held various positions at the University of Lausanne, in research, international relations and admissions, Vladan joined the Research Services’ team (support group for European and international research - Euresearch) in 2015 where he is in in charge of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie networks (MSCA): Doctoral Networks, RISE, COFUND and certain other collaborative programs of European research: Cluster 4: Digital, SPACE (and related programs), Industry etc.

In connection with the other competent services (CUREG, DIS, DISTIC, etc.), Vladan is also the contact person for questions of ethics (personal data protection) and research data (DMP, etc.) and participates in the development and updating of internal regulations/guidelines in this area. He is also a permanent member of the University Commission for Ethical Research at the University of Geneva (CUREG) as responsible for the application of data protection regulations in research projects.
