The Speaker
Tomas Turner, a Materials Engineer from EPFL, became passionate about alternative proteins as a solution to climate and health challenges during his studies.
After completing a master’s thesis in microbial milkfat production at Howard Riezman's lab (UNIGE), he interned at Planted Foods. He then returned to EPFL, developing the concept of producing creamy ingredients with yeast.
Now at Cultivated Biosciences, he’s working to make dairy-free products a top choice for everyone.
