Vladimir Jolidon completed his PhD at the Institute of Sociological Studies, University of Geneva, in 2022. He studied inequalities in cancer screening participation, combining health sociology, public health and health services approaches. His PhD was co-funded by the SNF (Switzerland) and FWO (Belgium) and involved a close collaboration with and research stays at Ghent University’s Sociology Department.
Currently, Vladimir is a postdoctoral researcher at Unisanté, Lausanne (Switzerland) and his research focuses on healthcare professionals’ well-being and cancer patients’ experiences.
Vladimir did his undergraduate and graduate studies in Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. He is experienced in quantitative and qualitative methodologies, and interested in advanced statistical modelling. Before his PhD, he worked for a market research agency, in the private sector, and also gained teaching experience at university level. He lived for several years in South-East Asia and Latin America.
Overall, Vladimir is interested in healthcare access and use (particularly preventive healthcare), public health and social policies’ effect, health inequalities and social determinants of health.
