After a post-grade certificate in modern languages in Geneva, I worked as secretary in asset management in a Geneva bank. In order to improve my knowledge of English, I quit the bank and spent six months in London, before returning to Geneva to carry out short temporary missions in various multinational companies. I then joined Glaxo IMB as secretary in the Department of Molecular Biology. Due to my involvement, I soon was nominated responsible for the graphics department besides my activities as a secretary. During a break dedicated to my family I performed temporary missions at Serono Pharmaceuticals Research Institute SPRI SA. I also used this period to develop my skills in French and in English, by attending the proof-reader training with theOffice Fédéral de la Formation Professionnelle et de la Technologie (OFFPT). I then worked as an freelance proof-reader for two years before joining the University of Geneva as secretary in the Department of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry.
