Misael Caloz

Physicien médical aux Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève

Website

Dr Caloz is a full-time medical physicist specialized in radio-oncology working at HUG (Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève) since 2021. After three years of clinical experiences, he obtained his Swiss Federal certificate (SSRPM) in medical physics, with a speciality in radiation oncology in 2023. Previously, he worked as a postdoctoral research scientist at EPFL, focusing on semiconductor physics, particularly gallium nitride-based gas sensors. He also contributed to an R&D project in quantum technologies between ID Quantique and the University of Geneva, leading to technology transfers and a patent. Dr Caloz’s expertise spans radiation oncology, medical imaging, nanofabrication, quantum optics, and superconducting single-photon detectors.
