2023 Madencilik Ödülleri

Dr Ali Aluç has been awarded the Prize for the Best PhD thesis 2023 by the Mining Development Foundation of Turkey (YMGV). The award is a recognition and an encouragement of the work of a Turkish early career geoscientist in the field of raw materials. The awarded PhD is entitled Magmatic-hydrothermal evolution and geological framework of the Kirazlı epithermal Au and porphyry Cu deposits, Biga peninsula, Turkey. Dr Ali Aluç defended his PhD thesis in May 2023 under the joint supervision (co-tutelle) of the Mugla Sıtkı Koçman University, Turkey and the University of Geneva. Dr Ali Aluç is a lecturer-researcher at the Department of Geological Engineering at Mugla University. His research focuses on ore deposits and their geodynamic and metallogenic setting.
