Climate as a key factor in the development of deltaic sequences during the early Eocene.
This study investigates the influence of sediment supply variations, driven by high-frequency climate-induced hyperthermal events, on the development of deltaic sequences in the Tremp Basin (Spain) during the early Eocene. The findings suggest that climate-driven sediment supply, rather than changes in accommodation space, was the primary factor shaping the stratigraphic architecture of this shallow-marine sedimentary succession.
