Five of our Master SERG students shine at the famous IBA competition

For the 4th year consecutively the team from the Department of Earth sciences at UNIGE traveled to Prague to participate to the European event of the Imperial Barrel Award, the largest worldwide student competition of this kind. 

The UNIGE team (Master students in Sedimentary, Environmental and Reservoir Geology - SERG) competed against 20 other European university teams and, for the first time ever, reached the final where it ended on the 5th place. This year the IBA event has been followed by 800 participants and 168 university teams worldwide who participated to the events in all world regions which aimed at selecting the 12 top Universities which will be compete next May at the world final in Salt Lake City (US).
