Psychological consultation

Are you feeling demotivated, is anxiety of low mood interfering with daily life, studies and your relationships?

Have you experienced a difficult event that is still upsetting you?

Are you overwhelmed by stress, unable to do the things you used to do?

Why consult?

  • Coming out of a depressive episode or preventing a future depression or state of burnout
  • Learning to manage stress or anxiety
  • Learning to manage emotions
  • Learning to live with the memory of an upsetting moment
  • Getting support to get through a breakup or grief
  • Improving relationships with friends and/or family
  • Overcoming behavioral addictions or those related to substances (cannabis, alcohol, etc.)

How does a psychological follow‑up take place?

First, you will meet with a psychologist from the Psychological Consultation at the Student Health Service and you will proceed to an evaluation of your situation. You will define your problem and list the reasons that led you to a consultation. You will then decide whether or not to continue with a psychotherapy.

Depending on the reasons for your consultation and your financial situation, we will offer you to:

  • Consult one of our psychotherapists for up to 20 sessions
  • Refer you to external resources that allow for a follow‑up to meet your needs

As the number of places for psychotherapeutic follow‑up is limited, priority is given to:

  • Students with financial difficulties
  • Students who do not have a good insurance coverage
