Team
We are a very diverse group formed by Art Historians, trained students in multilingual IT processing and jurists. We have united through the Comprendre le Numérique class of the University of Geneva in order to examine the globalization of the circulation of images and we have tried to combine our skills to give various perspectives on that matter.

Born in Faido, a small village in the Leventina valley, in Ticino, Ivana Galić obtained a BA at the faculty of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Geneva, where she is currently completing a MA in Multilingual IT processing. Former Gymnastic champion and occasional trumpeter, she likes to spend her free time reading books by Alberto Angela or hiking.

Born in Geneva, Switzerland Nastassia Merlino is Swiss and Italian. She obtained a BA obtained a BA in General Law at the University of Geneva where she is currently completing a MA in Economic Law along with a Transnational Law Certificate. She intends to pursue a second MA in Business at the University of New York. As hobbies, she enjoys music and ceramics.

Rebeka grew up in Rome. She moved to Geneva to study at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, though disappointed by this field, she eventually obtained a BA in Multilingual Communication. Nevertheless, she redirected her attention towards IT and she is currently completing a MA in Multilingual IT Processing.

Born in Venezuela, Ana Cecilia completed a BA at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Geneva where she is currently completing a MA in Multilingual IT Processing. She is currently writing her master’s thesis on “Localization of images and graphic content: support in TAO tools”. In her free time, she likes music and photography.

Born in San Francisco, Leah Teague is currently completing a BA in French with a specialization in Data Science at the University of Washington. She joined the Visual Contagions project as an intern and she particularly interested in data analysis. As an anglophone, she also works on translating the data as well. In her free time, she enjoys art and especially paintings.
Sofiane Alloun

Sofiane Alloun is currently completing a Ma in Economic Law at the University of Geneva. Within this field, he is particularly interested in FinTech and LegalTech. More generally, he is interested in the automatization and digitalization of economies. The Visual Contagions project allowed him to have a practical experience in data science.

Céline Belina

Céline Belina is a student in the Master of Transnational History in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Geneva and in the Executive Master in Art Market Studies in the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Zurich. In January 2021, she joined the Visual Contagion project as a research and teaching assistant. During her Bachelor's degree at the University of Geneva, she was introduced to the Digital Humanities through the introductory course as well as several seminars, including one on Postdigital and on Cultural Globalisation through the Digital Lens. In this context, she had the opportunity to contribute to the catalogue of the 1951 Hispano-American Biennial in Madrid, which was the first sign of the Franco regime's openness to "modernity”.
