The Plain Speaker

Seven issues of this reform journal were published in 1841. Christopher Greene was one of the founders of Fruitlands, the ethical vegan community established by Charles Lane and A. Bronson Alcott in 1843. Several essays by Alcott and numerous of his Orphic Sayings were published in The Plain Speaker.
