Optimized Waveform Relaxation Methods for RC Type circuits

Résumé.
The Standard methods for solving systems of ODE's can become inefficient for very large systems of ODE's. Various approaches have been proposed to overcome this drawback based on partitioning techniques. The classical Waveform Relaxation methods are one of those new approaches, but lead to a non-uniform and slow convergence. As a consequence, the Optimized Waveform Relaxation algorithms were introduced which greatly improved the convergence by introducing new transmission conditions. In this talk I consider two RC type circuits to illustrate the theory and the performance of this new approach.
