The notion of emergency is central in the field of language training for people with a migrant background. It leads to making certain choices, particularly related to the specificity of the target audience and its linguistic needs. In this article, we question some of these choices, taken within the framework of the "Language and integration” component of the Horizon académique program, implemented at the University of Ceneva in 201б. while in this type of project, the institutional perspectives have received a certain level of attention, to our knowledge, the viewpoints of the actors themselves—both the learners and the teachers—are less emphasi]ed. Therefore, we aimed to gather their perspectives through responses to a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. The proposed reflection should thus contribute to better understanding the notions of "didactics of disaster” and "didactics of emergency”, as well as to determine some of their constituent elements.
