Information about submissions

Once their proposal is accepted, all presenters must pay the Conference fee in order to guarantee their registration.

Recommandations for authors

  1. speak slowly, because not everyone will be a native speaker of French
  2. briefly describe any images, charts, or other visual materials, because not everyone will see images the same way
  3. provide spellings of key names or foreign words that you use frequently, because everyone finds this useful

We understand that following these suggestions will probably require you to cut some information from your presentation, but the intellectual rewards of reaching more people will be greater. In addition, presenters who have tried this technique find that it offers a fresh perspective on their ideas.

For guidelines on making your presentation accessible, please visit the Website recommended by DHA : http://www.w3.org/WAI/gettingstarted/Overview.html.

Recommandations for indivual presentation

For your talk, you have 20 minutes that includes the presentation itself, along with time for questions from the floor directly related to its content. It’s up to you to decide how best to distribute it, taking care to respect the allotted time limit. Following all the presentations, the president of the session (or the coordinator of the symposium) shall organize a group discussion. We ask you to be in the room 5 minutes before your presentation.

  • In order to facilitate the accessibility of your talk, please take into account the following guidelines: adapt the content of your presentation to the allotted time and the format of an oral presentation.
  • Provide a written (computerized or paper) text in English, regardless of the language of your presentation. Please note that every conference or seminar rooms are equipped with a projection system for Power Point presentations.
  • Using a presentation tool in computer format (USB key, word format does facilitate the accessibility and understanding of your talk for people with disabilities).
  • If you plan to distribute a PPT or a written document, do consider the visually impaired or blind audience, and read all the written information.
  • Feel free to contact us to notify any specific needs.

You don’t have to circulate a written paper before the Conference.
