P2 laboratory

Our P2 laboratory is available exclusively to PHYM members. It allows them to perform experiments with organisms bearing moderate risk to human or animal health, plants or environment.

MAIN RULES at P2 level

It is essential to take all necessary measures to prevent the release of any P2 organism from the laboratory.

Working in our P2 laboratory means :

  • Respect the current rules posted into the P2 lab
  • Be neat and organized
  • Protect yourself, and also protect others
  • Inform persons in charge of any accident
  • Use common sense

Any person with inappropriate behaviour or manner of work will be sanctioned and banned from the laboratory.

BOOKING

Before any reservation and access to the laboratory it is necessary to:

  • Possess a federal authorization (n° FOEN) obtained by the group leader.
  • Have completed the « Risques Biologiques » training provided by the STEPS training center.
  • Have been informed of good working practices and specific rules by the P2 laboratory respondent.

Once these three requirements are met, an access to the laboratory with the multiservice card will be granted and online booking will be possible.
