Quai Vernets
Quai Vernets, a model of sustainability
2028 - A new building, exemplary in terms of sustainability, will be opened in 2028 on the left bank of the Arve. Made available to the University of Geneva by a Geneva-based foundation, it is part of the Quai Vernets project, which provides a comprehensive approach to societal, economic and environmental challenges at the neighbourhood level, as attested by SNBS-Quartier certification. With a gross floor area of 22,500 m2, it will accommodate the faculties of economics and management and social sciences, which are currently constrained at Uni Mail. The new building will enable the institution to achieve significant savings by freeing up currently leased spaces, and to launch construction of the future Student Centre.
