Carolina Futuro is a doctoral assistant at the Global Studies Institute (GSI), where she conducts research under the guidance of Dr. Monique Beerli. Her doctoral thesis examines the politics surrounding the delivery of humanitarian aid to Internally Displaced People, a topic that resonates with her long-standing interests in forced displacement and humanitarianism. Carolina holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Political Science from the Geneva Graduate Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from PUC-Rio de Janeiro. She has professional experience in both research and humanitarian work, having contributed to research projects for the Brazilian government and international non-profit organizations, as well as holding roles in humanitarian organizations based in Geneva.
