Fleur Hierink is a lecturer and scientific collaborator in the GeoHealth group at the University of Geneva. She specializes in geospatial models to assess healthcare access and disease distribution. Her research uses geospatial data to improve health service delivery. She also co-coordinates the PhD program in Global Health and is a lecturer for the course GeoHealth - Geospatial Approaches in Global Health.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Health- and Life Sciences from VU Amsterdam. In 2018, she obtained her MSc. in Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in Toxicology and Environmental Health at Utrecht University. In June 2022, she completed her PhD in the GeoHealth group at the University of Geneva under the supervision of Prof. Nicolas Ray, with a particular focus on the effects of geographical accessibility to healthcare in low- and middle-income countries.
