  • How do contemporary national, regional and international policies address forced migration and its root causes in the context of natural disasters?
  • What do we know about the root causes and the conditions under which people show resilience towards environmental change, and which are the conditions that force them to leave?
  • How are new protection norms developed and institutionalized?
  • What is the relationship between the policies developed to address disaster displacement and climate change with "traditional" migration and refugee policies?
