Andrew is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Global Health, University of Geneva, and an Associate Scientist in Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His research lies at the intersection of pathogen dynamics, surveillance innovation, and intervention evaluation. He studies spatio-temporal transmission patterns of enteric pathogens (especially cholera and hepatitis E), works on integrating serosurveillance and diagnostics into outbreak control, and develops new methods to estimate the impact of vaccines and other public health interventions using observational data. Andrew holds a PhD in epidemiology and an MHS in biostatistics from Johns Hopkins University. Originally trained as an environmental engineer (B.S., M.S., University of Colorado), he brings a quantitative systems perspective to challenges in global health.
