biography 

Laura is a physical therapist with a master's degree in rehabilitation sciences. Over the past several years, she has focused on studying healthcare access for people with disabilities in low- and middle-income countries. Passionate about promoting health equity and sustainability in global health, Laura's primary research centers on the use and appropiation of information and communication technologies to improve healthcare access for people with disabilities, specially deaf population.

WHY IS THIS PHD IMPORTANT FOR ME (FOR MY CAREER , ORGANIZATION OR COUNTRY)?  

This PhD in global health is an exceptional learning opportunity that will not only refine my academic skills but also open new avenues for professional growth. Pursuing this PhD will give me a comprehensive understanding of healthcare access and disability, enabling me to develop advanced, evidence-based interventions for people with disabilities in global field. It will also help me bridge the gap between research and practice, fostering sustainable improvements in healthcare.

WHY DID I CHOOSE THIS PHD PROGRAM?

I chose the PhD program in Global Health at the University of Geneva because of its flexibility and multidisciplinary approach. The program also offers the chance to develop my research skills by working with leading academic scholars from around the world. It also fosters meaningful connections with the global health community, which is essential for advancing my research and making significant contributions to the field.
