Biography

As veterinary epidemiologist, I am currently working at the Federal Food safety and veterinary Office in Switzerland. I am in charge of the coordination of the antimicrobial resistance monitoring programme in animals and meat, and involved in the coordination, analyses and reporting of antimicrobial sales and use in animals.

Why is this PhD important for me (for my career, organization or country).

What drives my interest in doing a PhD is first a personal goal. This will ensure my long-term and fulfilling commitment! From a more pragmatic point of view, the "doctoral experience" will enhance my work experience and therefore bring added value for my career and my organisation.

Why did I choose this PhD program ?

I applied for this PhD program because the topic of "Global Health" matches my understanding of a global issue such as antimicrobial resistance and it made sense to put my work into such a broad perspective and understanding of health issues.
