BIOGRAPHY

Over the past years, I have worked in academia and public health, holding roles as an Academic Associate at the School of Health Sciences and as a public health nurse at the Cantonal Office of Health in Geneva. Since 2018, my research has focused on child and family health, with a particular emphasis on maternal well-being after childbirth.

My current projects include evaluating the feasibility of a tool designed to prevent postnatal depression and working on studies related to health literacy interventions. With a background in environmental sciences and nursing, I am committed to promoting health equity and sustainability in global health. My career goal is to hold a senior researcher position at the School of Health Sciences, conducting research projects which aim to improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations.

WHY IS THIS PHD IMPORTANT FOR ME (FOR My CAREER , ORGANIZATION OR COUNTRY)?

Pursuing this PhD in Global Health will enable me to advance evidence-based interventions for maternal health, bridge gaps between research and practice, and aim sustainable improvements in healthcare practices.

WHY DID I CHOOSE THIS PHD PROGRAM?

This program offers an international setting and an opportunity to build a multicultural professional network. It also gives access to  high quality courses within not only the University of Geneva, but also the Swiss School of Public Health (SSPH+) Inter-university Graduate Campus.
