Biography

I'm currently a Senior Epidemiologist and Epidemiological Project Manager at Médecins Sans Frontières, and have now accumulated eight years' professional experience in public health, combining epidemiology, training and management. All this experience has been acquired in highly complex humanitarian contexts, with three years of clinical medical practice and four years of public health training.

WHY IS THIS PHD IMPORTANT FOR me (FOR my CAREER , ORGANIZATION OR COUNTRY)?

This PhD will enable me to strengthen my research and academic skills so that I can acquire autonomy in designing and carrying out the research projects that I am required to do for my organisation. Obtaining a PhD will also make me more efficient and qualified to manage research projects in general and especially those related to global health and will give me the ability to have an accademic career contributing to the training of future generations.

WHY DID I CHOOSE THIS PHD PROGRAM ?

The Institute of Global Health, with its flexible PhD program for people who are already working, its focus on practical research and learning and development opportunities, as well as conferences, seminars, lectures and supervised research leading to publications, is the ideal setting for my training project.
