biography 

Tamara Da Silva is a biochemist by training and has been working in the field of clinical trials since nearly ten years. Tamara is the Co-founder and the Scientific Director of GALSER SA, a clinical research company based in Switzerland, managing clinical trials in various therapeutic fields. Prior to founding GALSER, she worked as a clinical researcher at the Geneva University Hospital. Tamara is actively engaged in developing efficient and effective clinical trial processes to contribute to the imporvement of clinical research on a global scale.

why is this phd important for me (my career, organization or country)?

My motivation for pursuing this PhD program arises from the desire to further explore the multidisciplinary approach to global health, particularly in the context of clinical trials. I am passionate about investigating the potential of decentralized and dematerialized clinical trials in improving the efficiency and quality of these trials and their impact on trial accessibility and inclusivity on a global level.

why did I choose this program? 

This PhD program offers a flexible framework that allows me to continue my professional carrer, while doing research in my field of expertise. It is an opportunity to collaborate with fellow health professionals, academics and researchers. It gives access not only to the University of Geneva, a prestigious institution, but also to the Swiss School of Public Health (SSPH+) Inter-university Graduate Campus. I am always seeking opportunities to enhance my knowledge and expertise, and I am confident that this PhD program provides the perfect platform for me to achieve my goals.
